I quickly realized that with the verdict coming back so fast, he would be found guilty on all three charges. The only justice that was served was mob justice. The judge failed to sequester the jury throughout the trial, and they had free and open access to the news and their smartphones. I don’t see how he could get a fair trial with all the news coverage slanted against him.  Even Congresswoman Maxine Waters stopped on by to inflame tensions in the crowd and across the nation.  There is no way the jurors didn’t notice the protests.  I think that it is highly likely that they declare the trial a mistrial. Even the judge stated that this is a possibility after the inflammatory comments made by Maxine Waters.  I am not saying that Derek Chauvin is not without criticism.  After following the case very closely and looking at the evidence, I think at best, he would have been convicted of the manslaughter charge.

I don’t know how police officers will get up after this verdict, go to work, and do their job the way they were trained. That is what Derek Chauvin did the day George Floyd died, and now he’s in prison with murder charges. 

At this point, if cities want to defund their police, I am 100% for it.  I would strongly encourage any police officers working in any of these cities ran by anyone discussing defunding their police departments to GET OUT NOW!!!!!  The same goes for the good law-abiding citizen.  As these cities descend into chaos, you will only be collateral damage.
